Tulane University
Department of Mathematics
Hello!
Welcome to visit Mathematical Biofluids World!
I have been in a Ph.D. program in Mathematics at Tulane University since 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Lisa Fauci, one of the world's most honored and renowned women mathematicians.
Academically, I have trained to be an expert in developing methods and interpreting biological phenomena related to fluid dynamics. My pioneering passion for uncovering detailed information in my projects always intrigues coworkers to shed light on brilliant ideas.
In the classroom, I am also an attentive and careful teacher to the students. Under Tulane's apprenticeship for teaching mathematics to college students, I joined with teaching all-level calculi and introductory statistics. I have taught introductory statistics courses as a primary instructor (self-coordinating course) multiple times.
I joined as a student member of the SIAM in 2019 and served as a President of the Tulane Student Chapter twice in the academic years 2021-22 and 2023-24. During the presidency, I managed a meeting series with colloquia speakers to broaden the graduate students to talk with them lightly.
Personally, I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and am enthusiastic about cooking traditional Korean dishes. I often enjoy reading fantasy book series and adventuring in aquatic leisures such as canoeing (due to the State of Louisiana). I am a fanatic at Marvel Cinematic Universe and a Korean rom-com TV series lover.
